Michael Tsappis, M.D.

Dr. Tsappis is a board certified physician with specialty training in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.  He was raised in a rural area of northern California.  After graduating from medical school he moved to Vermont for specialty training in general psychiatry and then to Pennsylvania for his child and adolescent psychiatry training.  During his final year of training he served as chief resident for the training program.  In addition to his work here at Family Psychiatric Care Dr. Tsappis has been involved in clinical care in the outpatient clinics of two major health systems in the Boston area, consultation to a local specialized preparatory school and integrated care at a large pediatric practice.  He has provided invited presentations to local, national and international audiences.

 

Jennifer Tsappis, LICSW

Jennifer is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience.  After graduating from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work she worked in leading child and adolescent inpatient and partial hospital settings, developing her expertise in treating serious psychiatric illness. Using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, Jennifer specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and Mood Disorders for clients of all ages.  Jennifer offers insight-oriented psychotherapy for those wanting to focus on identity development, life-adjustment concerns and self-improvement.  Jennifer values mindfulness and self care as cornerstones of wellness and incorporates those skills into psychotherapy.
